Target to Open Select Stores at Midnight to Sell Taylor Swift’s ‘The Life of a Showgirl’

Swifties, get ready to line up at midnight to score a copy of Taylor Swift‘s The Life of a Showgirl.

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that select Target stores across the nation will open at midnight local time on Oct. 3 to sell copies of the pop icon’s highly anticipated 12th studio album.

Fans can also pre-order the album through the major retail chain, which also has three exclusive CD packages that include an 8-page lyric booklet and exclusive posters. On Oct. 3, Target stores will also have Swift’s full discography, in addition to The Life of a Showgirl.

Last month, the “Fortnight” singer announced the new album on the New Heights podcast, with Travis Kelce, her now fiancé (the pair announced their engagement shortly after the podcast episode aired) and Kansas City Chiefs star, and his brother and former NFL star, Jason Kelce. At the time, Swift revealed The Life of a Showgirl would drop on Oct. 3 and feature 12 new songs, including a collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter that ends the album.

“It just comes from the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in in my life,” Swift said of the album on the podcast, before adding, “This is the record I’ve been wanting to make for a very long time.”

Elsewhere on New Heights, Travis also teased what fans can expect from the new album, compared to last year’s The Tortured Poets Department. “I’ve been fortunate enough to hear every single song on here, so I know they’re all 12 bangers,” he said of The Life of a Showgirl. “It’s a lot more upbeat and it’s a lot more, like, fun pop excitement. I think it’s a complete 180 from a lot of the songs on Tortured Poets for sure.”
